Revised 9th edition of "How to draft patent specifications" issued by the Economic and Industrial Research Committee

The 9th revised edition our office’s book “How to Draft Patent Specifications” was issued by the Economic and Industrial Research Committee on November 29, 2019. The 9th revision is based on the revision of the Japan Patent Office’s “Patent / Utility Model Examination Handbook”, and details the flow of determination of invention relevance of “Computer Software Related Inventions” and adds AI related inventions and IoT related inventions. There are newly established sections for “AI related inventions” and “IoT related inventions”.
