In this case, the Tokyo High Court decided to reverse an appeal decision that rejected a patent application based on Citations 1 and 2 (mainly based on Citation 2). After the Tokyo High Court decision, however, the JPO further examined the patent application and decided to reject the patent application again based on the same Citations 1 and 2 (this time mainly based on Citation 1). However, the Tokyo High Court once again decided to reverse the decision by the JPO.
