THE DESCRIPTIVE REQUIREMENTS OF THE APPLICATION FORM AND THE DRAWINGS HAVE BEEN DIVERSIFIED AND STREAMLINED

The types of formal drawings that can be filed together with a design application form and the techniques for expression allowed have been expanded, so applicants will be able to choose from a variety of expressions suited to their designs. This change will make it possible to file design applications with fewer drawings than before. At the same time, by describing the shape of the design in the text of the application form itself the applicants may dispense with the reference drawings required up to now.
