IPUSA
IPUSA, PLLC (Alexandria, VA, USA)
IPUSA PLLC is a U.S. patent law firm established with the backing of the ITOH Patent Firm to secure high-quality U.S. patents at a lower cost than currently available.
Currently, many Japanese companies are paying substantial fees to U.S. offices for the prosecution of U.S. patents, especially during the patent examination process. This involves duplicating efforts between Japan and the U.S. in understanding inventions, drafting responses to office actions, and managing deadlines, leading to unnecessary costs. By using IPUSA PLLC, your company will collaborate with our technical staff, including U.S.-certified patent agents who are familiar with your technology, well-versed in U.S. patent law, and proficient in English. Working together with U.S. patent attorneys based in our Tokyo office, we can reduce duplicative work between Japan and the U.S. and efficiently prepare and submit responses and amendments to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). In addition, tasks such as deadline management are handled via a shared system between Japan and the U.S., using computers in our Tokyo office, eliminating redundant administrative costs. In short, starting from the Japanese filing process, the technical staff who are well-acquainted with the invention and patent strategy, along with U.S. patent attorneys in our Tokyo office and U.S. patent attorneys or patent agents based in the U.S., work together to draft patent specifications and handle prosecution, providing high-quality service. IPUSA PLLC was founded in Washington, D.C. in 2007 to achieve high-quality U.S. patent acquisitions at a lower cost, and we have been steadily building our track record ever since. IPUSA PLLC is officially licensed by the Washington, D.C. authorities (licensed on May 4, 2007) and is registered in Virginia as a law firm handling U.S. federal law, including patent law (licensed on December 12, 2022).
