- He graduated from the School of Engineering at Tohoku University, in Japan, in 1990. In the same year he entered the Japan Patent Office (JPO). He worked as an examiner and trial examiner, he has also served as Head of the Cabinet Secretariat, as a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, Counselor of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) PCT Office (2003-2006), Director of JETRO New York Intellectual Property Department ( 2008-2011). After working as Senior Director of the First Examination Department, Chief Senior Director, and General Manager of Human Resources Development at the Center for Industrial Property Information and Training (INPIT), he was appointed Director General of the Third Examination in 2021. He left the JPO in 2022. In the same year, he registered as a patent attorney. He joined our office in November. He specializes in machinery. He is a vice president at our firm and head of the foreign department of the firm. He speaks English.
