Aki SHIMAMURA
Patent Attorney, PhD
- She received her Master's degree from the Master's Program at the Gifu University Faculty of Engineering and Graduate School of Engineering in Japan, in 1999. In 2000, she joined the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (German: Bundesanstalt fur Material forschung und -prufung, or BAM) as a researcher. In 2004 she received her Doctor of Engineering from the Ilmenau University of Technology, in Germany. In the same year she returned to Japan and worked at a patent law firm in Nagoya. In 2007 she joined CYBERDYNE INC. as head of their Intellectual Property Strategy Section. She passed the patent attorney's examination in 2011 and registered the following year. She joined our firm in November 2016 after working at a patent law firm in Tokyo. She specializes in electronics.
